  20. 1 cup water (if needed)
  21. Beans (OPTIONAL)
  22. 32 oz red kidney beans (rinsed and drained)

  1. Prep ingredients.

  8. The flavor develops more over time, so if you have the time, continue simmering for another 30-120 minutes (or more!)
  9. Taste periodically through cooking. Add salt, pepper, and/or water as needed.
  10. If you're someone who likes Beans in their chili, add them 10-20 minutes before you're ready to eat. Simmer until the Beans are heated through. Otherwise, skip this step!
  11. Dish up and enjoy!!!
